Directions To Campus

By car, Syracuse University is most easily reached from Interstate 81. New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) travelers should take Thruway exit 36 (Interstate 81) and proceed south. Both northbound and southbound travelers on Interstate 81 should exit at Adams Street (Exit 18).

If you are flying to Syracuse, car rental is available at Syracuse’s Hancock International Airport. We recommend that you make reservations at least two weeks in advance. Taxi service from the airport to campus costs approximately $25 one way.

Parking: University Avenue Garage

The University Avenue Garage is located at 705 University Avenue, between Adams Street and Harrison Avenue.

Southbound travelers: proceed down ramp and continue on Almond Street to Adams Street. Turn LEFT on Adams Street and continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Cross University Avenue and turn LEFT into the University Avenue Garage.

Northbound travelers: proceed down ramp and turn RIGHT onto Adams Street. Continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Cross University Avenue and turn LEFT into the University Avenue Garage.

Accommodations

Syracuse is served by most major airlines, Amtrak, and Greyhound Bus. Hancock International Airport is only a few miles from campus and is served by taxis.
